The Bond Buyer

Ms. Resnick joined The Bond Buyer as a reporter in 1995 and became the paper’s first woman editor in chief in December 2000.

In 2006, she spent a year as a Knight Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, studying Politics, Taxation, and Infrastructure Finance.

She has been quoted in national news outlets including Barron’s and USA Today and appeared on CNN, CNBC, and C-SPAN. She has spoken at conferences hosted by Governing magazine, the Milken Institute, and others.

In addition to her role at The Bond Buyer, she writes a recurring feature for Governing magazine on issues in municipal finance.

Prior to taking over editorial leadership of the newspaper, she worked as its managing editor, federal tax reporter, and as a regional reporter covering the fiscal crisis in the District of Columbia.

Before joining The Bond Buyer, she worked for the Fairfax Journal in Virginia. She has also covered state and local government political and financial issues for publications in New York and Massachusetts.

She holds a master’s degree in journalism with a focus on urban affairs from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
