Anne Kim directs Third Way’s Middle Class Program and has written widely on domestic economic and social policy, public opinion on economic issues and trade. She comes to Third Way from the office of Representative Jim Cooper, where she served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director and helped write policy for the House Blue Dog Coalition. Prior to that, she was the Director of the Work, Family and Community Project at the Progressive Policy Institute, the think tank affiliated with the Democratic Leadership Council. Ms. Kim is a 1995 graduate of Duke University Law School and holds a journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Before joining the policy world, she spent five years as a corporate lawyer at Hogan and Hartson LLP in Washington, DC and at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen and Hamilton in Washington, DC and New York.
