Elliot Pellman Co-Founder and Medical Director ProHEALTH Care Associates
Dr. Elliot J. Pellman, the co-founder and Medical Director of ProHEALTH Care Associates in Lake Success, New York, is a national leader in the field of sports medicine.
Dr. Pellman serves as the National Football League’s Medical Advisor advising the league on medical and health matters, supervising NFL health committees and as the medical liaison to the league’s Clubs, Competition Committee, team physicians, and athletic trainers as well as the National Football League Players Association. Pellman, as the Medical Director of the NFL Players Foundation, has spearheaded the NFL Alliances’ recent health initiatives for retired players.
Pellman since 2003 has been the Medical Advisor for Major League Baseball and in that capacity is responsible for overseeing and supervising Baseball’s medical committees, medical consultants, medical grants, medical education initiatives and serves as the liaison between Baseball team physicians and athletic trainers to the Commissioner’s Office.
Pellman is entering his 21st season as a member of the NY Jets’ medical staff and is the Club’s Director of Medical Services.
Pellman has been the Medical Director of the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders since 1996.
Dr. Pellman has received numerous honors including the 2007 National Hispanic Medical Association Health Leadership Award. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and in 2006 had the unique distinction of being awarded a dual senior faculty position at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Orthopaedics.
