Walter Olson is Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and an author and commentator best known for his writing on the American litigation system. His books include The Litigation Explosion, The Excuse Factory, and The Rule of Lawyers. His writing appears regularly in such publications as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and he has been a columnist for Great Britain's Times Online as well as Reason. He founded and continues to operate Overlawyered, the oldest law weblog, as well as the Manhattan Institute's website Point Of Law.
