Nancy McDermott writes about parenting culture and neuroscience and early childhood education. She is the former chair of the advisory board for Park Slope Parents, the nation’s most influential community of parents and a model for emerging independent social institutions. She lives with her family in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York.
